In order to give a reasonable inlet velocity profile, i create a local coordinate>

Does the x,y,z in the CEl refers to local or absolute coordinate?

x,y,z are local, see the manual about coordinate systems
If you need the global coordinates then use xGlobal, yGlobal and zGlobal
