AtoHM is on a distinguished road
Hi, short question.

I want to run a transient simulation with 8 coefficient loops for the first couple of time steps and then reduce to 4 coefficient loops once its all running stable. The CFX-Pre GUI won't let me enter an expression under Solver Control -> Convergence Control for the number of max coefficient loops. Is there a way to trick it into accepting the expression I want to use here?
I could switch the timestep size though, I know, but I'd rather have more loops on startup than mixed time steps sizes.
Thanks!

Opaque will become famous soon enough
Unfortunately, the CFX Expression Language is only available for floating-point parameters like boundary/initial conditions

Integer parameters such as "Number of XXX" do not support expressions.
AtoHM likes this.

..... and what you propose does not sound like a good idea anyway. If you set a residual criteria it should automatically use some extra iterations initially and less iterations as the simulation progresses, but with the advantage that if it always achieves your convergence tolerance it will have achieved a similar accuracy right though.
