Dear Friends
I have been getting involved in simulating end-winding of a generator. as you can see in the two pictures below I have one domain and a part of the end winding. my boundary conditions are as follows: inlet: mass flow rate (from 1 to 20) outlet: opening pressure upper and lower parts: periodic left and right sides: wall flow: air 25 heat transfer: thermal energy turbulence: K-e by the way I have not used boundary layer mesh for not reducing the quality of mesh in mass flow rate of 1 i did not have any problem in convergence, but by raising the mass flow rate to 6, the RMS of equation decreased up to 1e-3 not lower. although I have tried a lot recently, I could not find any solution now i am asking is there anyone help me?? thanks in advance |

None of your numbers have units. Numbers without units are pretty meaningless.
Your question is an FAQ: https://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansy...gence_criteria Your comment about not having inflation layers is almost certainly a mistake. You should fix this is if are looking for any accuracy in your simulation. |
