Hi All,
I would like to ask you guys for an advice in Methane/Air combustion modeling. Problem description: Enclosed domain through which air is flowing in a steady state manner (i.e. one inlet & one outlet), additionally one inlet with Methane supply. As a result (steady state) we have formed cloud of Methane/Air mixture with different equivalence ratios in different points in space. Now I would like to place an ignition source (e.g. energy source) in a region where mixture is flemmable and burn it. I don't won't to simulate a diffusive burner but a sudden ignition of formed mixture. As a result I would like to get an estimated value of temperature/pressure rise in the domain. The question is: should I consider abovementioned phenomenon as a partially-premixed flame regime? And which out of CFX14 combustion models will be appropriate for such flame model? Thanks in advance, Przemek |
