According to an Ansys video lecture, standalone requires less computational overhead, so I want to try it. However, I want to keep the Workbench directory structure for now and put the results in the Project_files\dp0\CFX\CFX directory. Can I do that without wreaking havoc? I don't see why I shouldn't be able to, but the "Do not edit directly" warning from this slide from the lecture has me worried somewhat.
I know that Workbench does notice and give a warning when I add or delete files to a project folder on my own, but so far that hasn't caused a failure. Am I pushing my luck? |
