ERROR #002100048 has occurred in subroutine SU_BNEXT. |
Message:
All vertices for a fluid domain lie on boundaries. This is
considered to be a fatal error because control volume gradients
cannot be calculated, leading to serious discretization error.

A common cause for this error is a mesh which is only one
element thick, without symmetry or 1:1 periodicity on the lateral
boundaries. If you have this situation, and the domain is
two-dimensional, please change the lateral boundary conditions
to symmetry or 1:1 periodicity. Alternatively, for
three-dimensional simulations, please ensure that your mesh
has at least two elements across.

Execution is terminating. This error message can be bypassed by
setting the expert parameter 'boundary vertex check = f', but
| be aware that doing so may lead to sigificant solution error.

please tell me how to eliminate this error
iam trying to simulate spray dryer, i use porous media and apply interface in fluid and solid.
with same set up i am getting answer, but some time iam getting this error iam very frustated with this thing almost spent my 2-3 days and night to found this but still empty hand, dont knwo what dose this error means and stteing i need to change please help me out of this ..

The error you report ("All vertices for a fluid domain lie on boundaries.") is totally different to the rest of this thread. You will probably get a better response if you start a new thread for a new question in future.

This error is exactly as it is described in the error message - you have some regions of your mesh which have no internal nodes (ie all node lie on boundaries). If you are modelling a general flow domain then you are going to have to remesh with more nodes inside the domain.

And please do not post duplicate posts again. You only need to post a question once. I have deleted the duplicate posts.

thanks for your reply,
Actually iam facing this problem with only porous and fluid intraction, and as a mesh part iam meshing fluid domain using automatic meshing of ansys workbench icme cfd, 14.5 version, how to proceed for solution than ? please reply

You need to generate a mesh with internal nodes. The error message makes that very clear.

sir, i have already done meshing with internal node .To cross check this i used section view in ansys meshing.

Somewhere in your model is a location with no internal nodes or you would not get the error message.

I agree with you. I am modelling 3mm thick perforated plate as a porous region. so might be there is the problem what do you suggest?

It may well be. You should be able to check it easily.

Can you post an image of what you are modelling?
