federernadal is on a distinguished road
All,

I have a solid edge model I need to import into my ANSYS student version. It is not letting me do so...I dont have Solid Edge on my computer (but shouldnt ANSYS be able to read the geometry .par file)?

For some direct CAD imports it requires the software to be installed. This might be the case for solid edge.

There are gizmos on the web which allow you to convert solid modelling files online. Convert it to parasolid and try that.
