Hi, I've some problem with PVM. I'm running in parallel on a IBM cluster with 14 blades, the solver-pvm starts but sometimes after random times it stops without writing results or errors, just it breaks!!! It depends maybe because of NFS system?

Anyone had the same problems in the past?

1) check all the names and IP address on your cluster match for all the slave nodes. 2) clean out your /etc so there are no deamons still running 3) experiment with 2 computers and then 3, 4... and so forth to make sure all of them are being involved, don't forget to clean out the /etc if you abruptly stopped the machine 4) 14 blades ! wow, I envy you !

thanks, but the problem was with one blade.....exactly blade13....unlucky blade....which has I/O problems.

Now we shut down this blade and all goes right!
