Hi all, i Want to know whether i can apply both Pressure and Velocity as my Inlet condn is it possible in CFX.. because my problem is of the analysis on a regulated flow with a low velocity and high pressure.

This is only possible if the inlet flow is supersonic. Otherwise you are overspecifying the problem.

You can set the desired pressure level at the inlet and specify a mass flow at the outlet. By conservation you will end up with the inlet flow rate you desire.

Dear Robin, Thanks for your reply, i am new to CFX and we want to confirm the parameters before getting in to experiments. and my flow reynolds number is 2408.26 and hence turbulent and the condns are subsonic so whether i can give the same inlet mass flow rate at outlet as boundary condn. i am not sure because we ve a small stagnation chamber in between the diffuser and nozzle.
