visitor is on a distinguished road
I have run a chemistry reaction by entering a balanced chemistry reaction. As usual entering reactants and products. Run ok, but I have a question.

How are reaction rates considered in CFX? If SO2 + H2O = H2SO3 for an example. Does CFX automatically cater for reaction times?

Similarly for Carboxylic forming, CO2 + H2O=H2CO3, which is unstable and will break down. How can CFX address this breakdown? Breaking down into CO3 + H.

How to consider reaction time issues in CFX?

THANKS

Opaque will become famous soon enough
Not sure what you are asking.

CFX only evaluates the reactions given in the input file, say

CO2 + H2O = H2CO3

The input should include
- the materials on the reactants side: CO2, H2O
- the materials on the products side: H2CO3
- Reaction rate information for this reaction: coefficients and forward/backward descriptions

it is the user/our responsibility to describe the reaction mechanism, and intermediate steps if any.

Hope the above helps,
