Which CFD software is best for simulating the Compressor flows. 1. Fluent 2. CFX 3. Numeca

and please also give the advantages and disadvantages of all three softwares. Also if any one knows about any other better software for compressor flow do write here the name of that software.

Best Regards SA

About Fluent and CFX, you could make contact with the hawker at http://www.esss.com.br/index.php?pg=empresa_contato.

To build your geometry, u can use BladeGen and TurboGrid, tools within the ANSYS Products 11.

I only do a little bit of work in this field, but my understanding is that CFX is the gold standard in turbomachinery applications due to its handling of rotating frames and the specific applications such as turbogrid. We have a turbomachinery group where I work, and they did some software research and bought CFX. People from other companies (Fluent - although now also owned by ANSYS) and CFD++ both have agreed with this assessment that CFX is the best for this application in the past. From my experience - I have found it quite easy to use for this sort of work.

CFX coupled with bladegen and turbogrid is the best option.
