CFX Post vs. Tecplot (xy-graphs)

Hello!

I want to make x-y-graphs of my CFX-Results, say the Pressure over the Length of a Polyline with constant Radius in a turbine.
In the past I did it by defining the polylines in a CFX-Post state file, then saving the values as .csv, editing with MS Excel an after that creating the x-y-plots.
Because I want to use Tecplot for creating the x-y-graphs now, it seems easier to use Tecplot as a post processor directly.

But now I can't see how to define polylines (as in CFX-Post) and make the graphs in Tecplot. Can anyone give me a little clue, or is'nt Tecplot the proper appliance for my tasks?

Why not just create the graphs in CFX-Post using the Chart feature?

I think the CFX Post graph feature may be OK to have a first look at the results, but I also want to compare the data of different result files.

You can do this in CFD-Post.

OK, I can do this in CFX Post. But the way xy-graphs are displayed in Post is not sufficient for presenting them. Do you use the graphs made by CFX Post for any presentation?

To be honest, no, I don't. I use Excel.

I have made an Excel Macro to change the CFX .csv tables into Tecplot format. Perhaps this is the best compromise in my case.
I think additionally to the problems with defining polylines there is the disadvantage of a very huge amount of data if you load the whole models into tecplot.

Good idea! Not as comfortable as in CFX Post but this is the first way to define polylines in Tecplot I have found. I am wondering about that because I thought Tecplot360 is capable of analysing the flow results, so i thought it is obvious to include a feature for the definition of polylines.
