Hi,
I'm just wondering if its possible to render a 3d mesh from a plane in ansys cfx post? Like if I render a mesh at a plane other than the domain boundaries, the mesh doesn't look as nice compared to the patch conforming at the surfaces of the domain. I want to show that this is because the mesh was rendered at any internal plane and the weird shapes seen are a result of the sectioned 3d elements which are still valid, but simply arent located at the domain boundaries. So is it possible to render 3-dimensionally the mesh elements that are sectioned by a plane in ANSYS post? Similar to what is available in meshing. Thanks Tom |

Well the answer is ofcourse you can do that, if I understand corectly you want to see elements in 3d.
First way i can think of is ISOVOLUME rendering. You can colour the volumes acording to location like x,y or z location if value is higher or lower or imbetween values than the one you set, than those elements are shovn, you can also colour them with a wariable or smooth them if you want a more averaged nice surface Last edited by urosgrivc; March 30, 2018 at 08:39. |
