hi
i am modeling a micro heat pipe in vof fluent with surface tension and wall adhesion. when interface adapts itself to contact angle. a numerical wave from begining and end of the wall start propogating and affect the solution. please help me . how can i remove this wave at interface ?
model: explicit/vof/geo reconstruct
mesh: fine enough

Hi Ali
I am wondering if vof is the correct approach to model the working of a micro HP.

I am also trying to model a micro HP but facing the same problem. The wall adhesion just doesn't let the heat pipe action begin.
Also there is a issue of numerical oscillations which with few time steps make the interface go more and more diffuse and difficult to track.
