I would like to know how I could draw up 2 discrete surface bodies without connecting into 1.

I am modelling a gas flow in a tube fitted with a bluff body entering atmosphere.

I have two tube inlets and 2 outlets entering the atmosphere as shown:

Many thanks

don't choose the connect option when you split the volume in gambit.

How did you know this was made in gambit?

This is all handled by whatever you used to generate the mesh. So how did you generate the mesh / model?

What do you mean?

I have drawn the geometry, and then selected the whole surface body and applied a triangular mesh.

I would like to have the two parts connected but not as one piece...

You cannot build geometry/meshes in Fluent. So my question is, what did you use to make the mesh and build the geometry? In other words, your inquiry is not appropriate for the Fluent section as it does not pertain to Fluent at all.

Oh, I have used DesignModeler to draw the geometry. I then used Ansys work bench Meshing to generate the mesh. The problem I have in Fluent that it reads it as one piece...
