Trying to simulate an injection prozess (polymer as an non-newtonian fluid) into an empty mold, I choose the way of multiphase modelling.
- The fluid (polymer) should displace the primary phase which is in the mold (air). -My problem is that the flowfront is a mixture of phase 1 and phase 2. In order to get a sharp border between both phase I tried to manipulate the modell settings. -Does anyone know which settings, models or conditions could disabel the merging of two phases? Working with the VOF model I wasn't able yet to solve this problem. I can only minimise it by doing a finer meshing, whish is an unsatisfactiorycompromise My basic causes of defects: - The VOF model might be the wrong model - phase interactions should be manipulated *I added a picture that should discribe the merging problem. The phases (1 air, 0 polymer). Greetings from Germany, Jim |
