hello guys,
i would like to ask you something. my question may be stupid but i still need to know. so i am working in fluent and i have one pipe, i put velocity (that it starts from inlet) but i haven't seen the option for the outlet. what can fluent has as default? because i need to make the situation that water( or another fluid) is going out. how can i do it? thank you very much br Marianna |

You should make one pipe end to be inlet (velocity inlet, pressure inlet, or whatever appropriate) and the other outlet (pressure outlet, outflow, etc.). The default b.c. would be wall, and you won't see much fluid flowing if you have one pipe end inlet and the other walls.

As I see you don't have much experience in this for beginning just try velocity-inlet and outflow. It is easiest options.
In Velocity-inlet input speed and in outflow don't change anything. |

First of all thank you for replying.
as you understood i am new in the club and i do not know fluent well. p.s. i know that it is stupid but i cannot find the option outflow. i put inlet velocity and pressure and for outlet there is only the option for pressure, for water there is nothing. thank you again Marianna |
