parallel running issue in ansys 14 fluent

hello,

i am trying to run ansys 14 fluent in parallel mode on one PC only. following is the problem:

-when i click on the parallel option, i define no processors as 4.
-fluent starts running and then gives the following message:
"Unable to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intel\MPI\SMPD\process \4600 registry key, error 5, access is denied"

-can someone please help me what does this mean and how should i solve it?

Try to start fluent with admin priviledges: right click on icon fluent and click on "run as admin" and see if the error goes away.

tried it and it worked.
but another issue has come up.
the simulation that i am trying to run in parallel is taking far too much time, in fact its still running while i write this. whereas the same simulation converged in half an hour in serial mode. can there be a reason that iam not looking at?

It could in theory have something to do with the amount of available memory on your computer. If you run out of RAM the processes start to run on the harddrive which would much slower.
