chemical reaction modeling using FLUENT

I am a new user in FLUENT. I have been assigned to model a continuous chemical reaction in CSTR in stead of combustion by using FLUENT. I have briefly gone through FLUENT and faced few problems on it. My problems are:
1) Materials and reaction mechanism being used are not included in database. Is there any database available being downloaded from certain server? 2) Is there any example available in showing how to model a continuous liquid liquid chemical reaction? Thanks for kindly reply. |

Hi,
I am modelling liquid reaction like you and I face similar problem. My reaction is NaOH and HCl. I cannot download the reaction mechanism from the internet and have to try write it myself. Have you found the solution to your problem yet? Regards, Jenny |

Hi Tom,
Thank you very much for the information. For my case, I cannot find the mechanism file online. So, I try to write them myself but I think they are incorrect because the simulation in FLUENT won't start and I don't have information on activation energy. I agree these things can be complicated.
