Equivalence of pressure inlet & velocity inlet

In pressure inlet...gauge total pressure is the static pressure plus dynamic pressure(0.5XdensityXvelocity^2) and initial static pressure is the static press at that point.
If we calculate velocity (subtracting static press. from total press) and in velocity inlet boundary condition , give velocity and initial static pressure...should'nt these two approaches be equivalent. But i found they result in different velocity profiles ! |
