Dear all
I am currently trying to implement a homogeneous reaction into my mesh model through fluent. For example: Reaction : CO + 0.5 O2 = CO2 I have a UDF for describing the above reaction using DEFINE_VR_RATE. From my understanding, after compiling, all I have to do is to hook the UDF to use it. However, there is this reaction interface in the “material” panel where I can state what is the reactants, products and also the arrhenius parameters such as pre-exponential factor and reaction rate constant for my homogeneous reaction. The problem now is that I do not have the required information such as the arrhenius parameters, all I have is the rate equation for the above stated reaction. What should I do: 1. Hook the UDF, specify both the reactants and products and leave the arrhenius parameter as “zero”? OR 2. Hook the UDF, do not activate the reactions mechanism in the “material” panel? Or something else? **Heterogeneous reaction is so much simpler to implement than homogeneous reactions. Thanks in advance guys. Really appreciate it. |
