Default Burner simulation

Hi all,

I want to simulate a burner tube. It consists of an outer tube and an inner pipe which delivers the gas to the burner head. The airflow into the tube is set as a velocity inlet behind the gas head (140mm behind). On the gas head there are a number of orifice's through which the air flows to create a primary air supply to the fuel. When I simulate the burner tube I remove the gas head and leave only the orifice tubes, connecting the front and back of the burner tube (the head is not as wide as the tube so some air flows around the head too).

However when I check the results no flow goes through the connecting tubes. How can I get the flow to flow through these holes?

Can anyone advise me on what to do???

Mark.

There might be dividing surface in rhe computational domain. Check at the preprocessing level(GAMBIT) by 'CONNECT' option.

Thanks for your reply Jinwook,

Could you explain what you mean by a dividing surface and where I can find the "connect" option in GAMBIT, or do I just join the volumes? I don't want to join the volumes because the meshing becomes much harder then.

Regards,

Mark
