Hi All,
Now I want to specfic the value of an UDS (User Defined Scale) over the whole domain, so I'd like to know if it's possible for me to do so in Fluent? Thank you! Regards Allen |

I'm not sure I understood your question. Do you need to fix a value of a UDS? If so, disable its solution and intialize the value you want to set.
You can also use the Fixed value option in all of its parts, through the Boundary condition panel. Hi ap |

Hi ap,
I think your understanding is right! And your suggestion is the right one I want, thank you! But I want to know further if I can fix the value of the UDS which is a fuction of y with the two methods you introduced. Thank you! Regards Allen |

Yes, it is possible to do what you want using the Fixed value option in the boundary condition panel.
You can recover the y value using C_CENTROID, and implement the function of your UDS using a DEFINE_PROFILE (if I'm not wrong, I'm not sure on the proper DEFINE macro to use ;-)). A single implementation of the function should be enough. You just have to hook it in all the zones you want. Hi ap |
