Default Exporting Boundary Conditions

I am currently running an aircraft model in Fluent with the engine integrated into the aircraft. I have had success with cold flow simulations, but unfortunately the computing power at my University is not strong enough to run such a case with combustion taking place.

Parallel processing is obviously the way to go, but we are also limited by the number of computers, so to run on two seperate computers, would mean I have to dislodge someone from their computer for the day or couple of days it takes to run.

I have an idea how I could do it a different way, which would take more time, but would fit in with the resources we have. Although I have no idea if Fluent can do this.

If I have an interior boundary condition setup on the inlet of the engine, would it be possible to read the interior boundary condition from the cold flow simulation of the complete aircraft and import it into a totally seperate new model as the inlet which would just simulate the engine?

Then do the opposite, by exporting the exit conditions of the engine into the cold flow model.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Thank you

Andrew Clark
