UDF help on accessing values

Default UDF help on accessing values

hi i have to access temperature data at various cross section along the length of straight pipe. say for 2m length pipe at every 5cm intervel. i have tried writing a UDF using thread_loop_c thread_loop_f predefined modules. I know the logic but i dont know, whether these predefined modules swap along the x axis first( ie cells are numbered along x axis or y axis) to clarify my thoughts see bellow

1 2 3 4 5

6 7 8 9 10

11 12 13 14 15

OR

1 4 7 10 13

2 5 8 11 14

3 6 9 12 15

and when fluent loops along the cells does it loops number wise ie first 1, 2 ,3 ... and so on? pls help as this would make my life more easier. thanks in advance
