Dear Friends: when i wanna define an injection of droplets; fluent need "velocity" and "mass flow rate". I think, when i have droplet properties and its velocity, mass flow rate is determined.I mean only "velocity" or "mass flow rate" must be specified as input. Is it true? regards masood

You have to define velocity, mass flow rate and the co-ordinates from where you want to inject fuel.

Dear MANOJKUMAR:
Thanks for reply, but i said that i think only "velocity" or "mass flow rate" is need for injection.because: mass flow rate= density*velocity*cross sectional area i mean when i have "velocity" no need to define "mass flow rate". is it true? regards |

No because with the mass flow rate, you couldn't know the direction of the flow.
So you need: - the mass flow rate, - velocity in x,y,z cooridantes, - diameter of particules |

No u must give the direction of the particle means u have to define co-ordinate and mass flow rate, and all thing which given in tha properties and also give the no of tries in the next steps. MANOJKUMAR
