What's the static pressure in Fluent?

Hi, All. The static pressure reported in Fluent is the static pressure we know? I am simulating unsteady low Re pulsating pipe flow. But I can't trust the static pressure data. Any comments are highly appreciated, David

Hi,
Fluent computes all the pressures in terms of gauge pressure: pressure absolute=gauge pressure + operating pressure Don't forget to define the operating pressure in the operating conditions panel. I hope it will help you. PS: in Fluent, static pressure=rho*g*h (h=fluid height above the point of calculation). |
