Transient Simulation questions

Hello all,
I am running unsteady calculations and I have run into a few problems I was hoping someone here might be able to answer. I have computed a solution and after some time I would like to reset the flow time value to zero. Is this possible, how do I do it? Also, after computing a solution, is there any way of changing any one scalar field in the solution only? Reinitializing resets all the scalar fields. I would like to change only the velocity field while leaving all other parameters untouched. thanks, Binoy |

To answer your second question, you could use solve>initialize>patch to just reset one variable. You might be able to reset the time using the same. I havent tried.

you can do that in fluent. change the scalar which you want to change and command it to iterate.Do not initialize.

Thanks for your responses. Farhath, I assume that you are also talking about the patch option when you say "change the scalar which you want to change and command it to iterate"?
