Hi everyone, Is it possible to animate the contours of a variable , but AFTER solving (and saving) an unsteady problem? If possible, please write the procedure. Thanks

You can read the data files and save the contour of the variable you want as jpg or tif file. Then you can use something like irfanview or gifmoviegear to read the snapshots and animate it.

Check one of the online tutorials in one of them it describes in detail what you should do in order to create an animation using fluent.

The proposed tutorial is tut no. 4 "Modeling Unsteady Compressible Flow"

I think that doing this tut will deal with all your problems.

Good luck,

Anastasios

Hi,

After simulation completion, you can take the animation using third party software. But one restriction is there. You should have all data files for every time step.

If you don't have saved any files for the time steps, then no!
