Hi!
I'm a FLUENT beginner and was assigned a small project to simulate combustion of biomass. I'm thinking of simulating biomass combustion using non-premixed combustion model, like in tutorial 13 (FLUENT 6.2 user guide). Is it right to assume combusting pulverized biomass similar to that of pulverized coal? Actually I couldn't really understand the concept of PDF table for pulverized coal. The species that I get from PDF prediction is in gaseous or solid phase? What is meant by 1 mixture fraction and 2 mixture fraction? How is it going to be related to solid coal particles that I inject via definition from discrete phase model? Please enlighten me! Thanks! Emma |
