Good evening.
I am trying to create a rotor stator system wit flotation cell. i am using something similar to a outokumpu impeller. a rotating set of blades inside a diffuser. in Gambit, i have done to scenario's , i have made 2 volumes, with one common cylindrical face, (one rotating inside the other), and 2 volumes with 2 common cylindrical faces ( one overlaps the other). the interface of these cylinders sits inbetween blades and diffuser within the fluid zone not on the solid. Howver i cant seem to get this to work in Fluent, i have read all the manuals. does any body have any insight on this topic? |

What type of error does Fluent show you? What type of MRF are you using, sliding mesh, mixing plane? Cheers, Javier

I am using sliding mesh, if i use the way of two volumes with 2 interface faces over lapping i get a nopositive volume exists message, and if i use the two volumes split in two - i just get either Fatal error - or simply Divergance detected before any iterations occur.
