Hello,
To convert it i think you can choose option below Boolean logic. there is button to convert virtual to real.
Hope it helps!!

In some case you can convert it at once if there is simple geometry (some faces). but if there is complex geometry, convention doesnt work. Sometime i cut in pieces to repair virtual things. Anyway, there is no differences between real and virtual on your final mesh. but Boolean logic work in real things only.
hope it helps

-mAx- will become famous soon enough
if your import gives you an virtual volume, you won't be able to convert it into real.
Try to import it as STEP file, the result should be a real volume.
Handling with real volumes, is just a MUST if you need to work with boolean operation. (extracting fluid volume form solid is the only operation which needs boolean operation (from my side). All the others can be handled with virtual tools)
But working with real volumes is much easier than working with virtual ones (but not impossible)

I normally use parasolid files (.x_t) to import solid into gambit.
All the complex geometry i imported keep remain Real so far.

Take a try.
