Hi,
I'm trying to plot the liquid water droplet accumulation on an airfoil. To begin with the module I'm trying a simple case with a square but all I can get is some water landing on the down edge of the domain, just near the velocity inlet edge. Did anyh of you guys already used the accretion on Fluent ? I'm pretty lost because there are very few resources about that over the Internet. Basically there's just the Fluent help but it's not very practical to use. From what I've understand I have to - Mesh the geometry using Gambit - Import normally into Fluent, then use Models--Discrete Phase Model and check "Interaction with continuous Phase", then in the Physical Model check Erosion/Accretion, Droplet Collision and Droplet Breakup. - Then I use "Injection" and set a group of 50 particle streams of Liquid Water at the velocity of 30m/s. - Then I check "Solidification/Melting" and I iterate but I don't have much success... What did I missed ? The thing I'm looking for is an accretion of water in the low velocity zone (so basically in the center of my square.....) Any idea ? Thanks, Charles |
