Defeaturing a CAD Model

I am trying to mesh a complex CAD geometry (made in Pro-E) with many small parts that are not really relevant to the analysis.
What are some common methods of defeaturing the geometry so that it is "CFD-friendly"? Is it usually easier to just recreate the geometry from scratch? |
