Eikonal Equation & Geometric Optics

Default Eikonal Equation & Geometric Optics

Dear all

Is there any people that have background on geometric optics especially solution of eikonal equation and indication of geometrical wave front.

The most simple way of solve the eikonal equation is the ray theory where this equation is transformed in a system of 6 ordinary differenzial equations (3 for the ray position and three for the ray direction) which can be easily solved.
