anyone doing any nanofluid stuff? I am beginning a research project dealing with it and am just wondering if anyone else is working with it. I haven't really seen any of it mentioned on here.

We are just going to do a quantifying experiment to look at the thermal characteristics and how they are enhanced by the addition of the particles.. We are also going to look into the production of the particles and the dispersion coefficient and how it changes (if it does) with time. Also, we are using particle image velocimetry and planar laser-induce florescence to study the heat transfer for flow over a heated flat plate and around a cylinder. When I was at the IHTC in Sydney last summer I saw a presentation that showed how the results from the same experiment by different authors lack consistency. I thought that was interesting. Personally, I want to be able to modify the numerical code for flow around a cylinder to include the thermal effects of the nanofluid.

I am also starting research on this topic. Could anybody suggest vendors who will be selling related equipment? For example for hot transient wire method (conductivity measurement) for viscosity measurement. I am also interested in increasing heat transfer with the help of nanofluids specially for plates.
