Hi,
Has anyone ever come across the fact that reducing the mesh size on your geometry alters the solution variable adversely despite having the converged simulation? It happened in my case (seems quite uncommon) - I used a coarse mesh (coarse: farfield, fine mesh for the geometry), the simulation has converged and the solution variable i.e. skin friction coefficient evolves as expected. So, when I tried to reduce the cell size for the geometry in an effort to conduct mesh sensitivity - the trend for skin coefficient becomes quite random with all the data points scattered through the plot area. |
