Hi guys,
I want to simulate gas-solid flow in a mixer. I have an unstructured 3-D cfd code based on FVM, but no any idea about moving b.c or dynamic grid. What is the difference between the two things, and which one my project belongs to? Is it easy to do it. Too many puzzles. I need some general openion for a good start. your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Regards, Jack |

It's pretty close to my concern. My concern is the interface between gas and liquid. I am still doing literature reviews. Is your problem in the compressible or incompressible? In case of incompressible, you can find a number of way such as heaviside function method, ghost fluid method, immersed interface method. If you need to get a sharp interface between gas-solid, you have to find a more robust way.
If your problem is in the compressible flow which is the same as mine, you have to find the way to accurately treat the interface mixed with two-types of materials. It is pretty hard. Someone incorporated with an exact solution method only for a mixed cell where two types of material are coexisted. I am considering the applying of the exact solution based on the riemann solver in a mixed cell containing multiple or mixed properties due to the coexistence of multi-phase flows. I am also suffering from such problems. If you concern about this issue as well, please help me. |
