Hi guys. I am very new to using GAMBIT and have only modelled 2D models so far which I need to advance on.
This may seem simple to you but here goes. I want to model a channel so i can see what happens to the water as it passes downstream. What I would like to do is replicate the bathymetry from contour maps in a 3D model to see the effects of changing cross sectional shape. how does aboy start off such a task???? D |

This sounds like open channel flow modeling to me. You might investigate the techniques used by the US Army Corps of Engineers (e.g. their Waterways Experiment Station) to see how they model harbors, channels, rivers, etc. No need to reinvent the wheel here.
