Those discussion are very welcome on this main forum. Opening a dedicated forum for such narrow topics is no use. A forum needs a certain critical mass of active users to keep the discussions alive.

my question is as follows.:

In Plane channel Flow How to implemented the initial condition.

I read too many papers. They are telling, that i have to use mean velocity profile plus some random perturbation superimpose on mean flow. So, should i use perturbation for all the 3 component of velocity or only for the streamwise direction.

could you, please explain in details with implementation procedure.
