Hi all,
I am working on a nonreactive RANS Lagrange/Euler simulation for a liquid spray (55 m/s). A liquid is injected at about 365K into ambient quiescent (0 m/s) air at 900K. Evaporation and Condensation models are also enabled I'm starting to see a temperature rise for the gas phase which includes the gaseous vaporized liquid phase and air. Is this normal for evaporative sims? Also, the Lagrangian phase (or liquid phase) is seeing a slight rise in velocity, is this expected as well? I would expect that the velocity of the liquid phase would not exceed injection velocity and that the combined gas phase would stay between 365-900K and not exceed it. Thoughts? Thanks |
