L1011 New Member Join Date: Feb 2011 Posts: 20 Rep Power: 15	Hi everyone! I have to perform the simulation of a pitch/plunge airfoil in order to investigate unsteady phenomenon like dynamic stall that occurs at very high angle of attack . To do so, I will have access to OpenFoam and possibly ANSYS Fluent. The main issue for me appears to deal with dynamic grids in order to avoiding re-meshing. Up to now, I was thinking to use either an Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian (ALE) formulation either a rigid motion of the grid with respect to the airfoil. What do you think of these suggestions regarding the current capabilities of OpenFoam and Fluent? What would you suggest? If you have any other suggestion, please let me know Thanks you! L1011
