mass absorption column

iam simulating the absorption column were i am getting pressures upto 1.23*10^10 pa which is not possible, so wat woulb be the problem.
iam using mass flow rate as inlet boundary condition.
presure as atmospheric pressure.
and k-epsilon model.

and also recovery of species is not showing which i designed for.

plz help me out

you should use surface reaction to stimulate mass transfer effect, I think. as to pressure drop, how do you specify the absorption column domain? fluid or porous area.

hi gerge chen up to my knowledge surface reactions are used for solid and liquid reactions so if any change with specfic reason plz let me know.

iam using co2 water absorption. here not only absorpion column with porous zone but also am using parallel plate vertically to distrib the flow for more interaction b/w gas and liquid.

so plz if any more information u have r know inform me as soon as possible.

and comin to definin the porous zones we will define in gambit and in solver (fluent ) enable porous zones using ergans equation calculate the resistance to to continue

so, you mean it will be a mass transfer between liquid and gas. I am sorry I have no idea about it. Maybe, you should apply UDF. If you have any advance, let me know. I am interested in it too. Thank you.
