Hi All, im runnining a streamlined shape in star ccm+ with a fuselage type shape (and a nose cone like a commercial airliner).
My Cp values on the nose are comming out as 0.97, which although is near stagnation i feel that a 3% loss in pressure before the flow reaches the body is too much! Does anyone have any simple suggestions why this might be? Ive improving the surface definition on the nose and the corresponding volumetric mesh around it, neither have had a great effect. I also have 20 prism layer mesh on the nose. Thanks |
