First you should have an analytical solution for your problem if you don't have one (you can compare this with the numerical one):
J.D. Anderson - Modern compressible flow. Second - if your numerical solutions oscillates you probably have an implementation problem: maybe with your boundary conditions or maybe with the order of the numerical scheme you use. For a second order scheme (and high orders) you must use limiters functions in order to remove the oscillations (or you can try with a very fine mesh). Do |
