transonic airfoil optimization

morteza08 Senior Member Morteza Join Date: May 2010 Location: Iran,Islamic Republic of Posts: 161 Rep Power: 15	Hi i have to optimize an airfoil in transonic regime. is there any limitation to do that? somebody told me it is impossible to optimize the airfoil for mach more than 8.5 and AoA more than 2.5 is it true? if yes,why?
