I need to get some clarification on designing a channel bend. The channel take design flow from a side road culvert for a distance of about 220 m parallel to the main highway road. The channel is then plan to chang its direction to cross the main highway road by a degree of about 90. The channel dimenssion is nearly 2*1 m. The proposed culvert would have the same dimenssion as the channel. The design flow rate is 4 m^3/s. Would the bend would affect the efficiency of transmission and then what is the correct way to design the channel.
