Dear all, I am a chemical engineer, doing my MSc-advanced analysis & simulation(FEA&CFD) in UK. I have completed my two semesters & presently searching for a topic for dissertation in field of CFD (any area of CFD...) Could anyone please suggest me some topic that is interesting? Spend a few days probing various research groups around the world, & then move into industry... Couple this with some of your own personal passion & innovation...

If after all that, you still do not have an inkling of a suitable topic/s, then perhaps you are in the wrong field altogether...

Go and talk to the research and teaching staff performing CFD at your institute. If you work on one of the topics they suggest not only is there a good chance it will be relevant but you will also find them willing to talk to you and help you because they will be interested in your results. If you suggest a problem yourself there is much bigger chance you will be sorting out the problems on your own.
