I am seeking for an advice related to prisms (inflation layer) and unstructured grid. It is recommended to keep certain growth factor between the last prism and tetra. This can be simply obtained specifying for example total thickness of the inflation layer, number of layers and growth factor. When defining uniform node sizing on a surface or an edge the smooth transition between the last prism cell and tetra remains. While applying some growth factor on the surface or edge results in larger steps between the last prism cell and tetra as the node spacing on the surface grows but the total inflation layer thickness remains. Should I keep the sizing uniform to avoid this or what would be the advice?
