Hi,

I'm a new user of OpenFOAM and I have some issues that I don't find answer.

I've install OF on my mac OS 10.11.4 with this tutorial : https://github.com/mrklein/openfoam-...ase-&-Homebrew

Everything seems to run perfectly. For instance "cavity" is running. But as soon as I quit my terminal, and reopen it, no command can be found.
If I try to do the "cavity" example and run blockMesh, it says 'command not found', even if it worked well before.

I try to source again the environnement with the command :
Quote:
source /Volumes/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/etc/bashrc
and the Terminal says :

Quote:
-bash: /Users/remidemol/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/bin/foamEtcFile: No such file or directory
-bash: /Users/remidemol/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/bin/foamCleanPath: No such file or directory
-bash: /Users/remidemol/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/bin/foamCleanPath: No such file or directory
-bash: /Users/remidemol/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/bin/foamCleanPath: No such file or directory
-bash: /Users/remidemol/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/etc/config/settings.sh: No such file or directory
-bash: /Users/remidemol/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/etc/config/aliases.sh: No such file or directory
-bash: /Users/remidemol/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/bin/foamEtcFile: No such file or directory
-bash: /Users/remidemol/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/bin/foamEtcFile: No such file or directory
-bash: /Users/remidemol/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/bin/foamCleanPath: No such file or directory
-bash: /Users/remidemol/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/bin/foamCleanPath: No such file or directory
-bash: /Users/remidemol/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/bin/foamCleanPath: No such file or directory
Has anyone have a clue for running OF correctly ?

Thank you for your answers.

Hi,

As you can see

Code:
...
-bash: /Users/remidemol/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-3.0.1/bin/foamCleanPath: No such file or directory
...
bashrc expects disk image to be mounted in $HOME/OpenFOAM, not /Volumes/OpenFOAM. So either you correct bashrc and set foamInstall variable to /Volumes/$WM_PROJECT, or mount disk image into $HOME/OpenFOAM.

There is https://github.com/mrklein/openfoam-...-configuration guide, which addresses issues of disk mount and environment configuration.
